This is one of my favourite comic characters Arzach created by Jean Giraud AKA Moebius.
He was one of the founders of the French magazine Métal Hurlant known i USA by the title Heavy Metal.
In Sweden we also had a version in the late 80's by the name Tung Metal (Tung = Heavy in Swedish). Proud to say that I had a two page comic published in the very last issue in 1989. To bad they had to terminate the magazine and I never got mymoney, but I'm still proud :-)
